Math Center tutoring for the spring 2021 semester will begin Monday, February 8th!
2/8/21 - 5/12/21
Monday through Friday
*Please note: The Math Center in Butler 147 will NOT be open to students for the spring 2021 semester. If you need to visit the Center for any reason, please email Erica to set up an appointment time.
Additional hours for Math tutoring are available through STAR-NY! Visit the STAR-NY website for more information.
You can sign up for a tutoring appointment anytime through Bengal Success Portal. Go to "My Success Network" and simply click on the Math Center tile under “Services.” In the bottom left-hand corner of the tile is a link for you to schedule and appointment. Choose the day you'd like to meet and you will be able to see all tutors who are available to help with your math class that day. You can schedule appointments in advance (which is highly recommended) or you can jump on to Bengal Success Portal at any time to see who is available for an immediate appointment.
We are offering 15- to 60-minute appointments for tutoring. Choose the start time that works best for you, and then you can change the duration before confirming your appointment. When you create your appointment, please indicate the class you are seeking help with and leave some comments to tell us what you’d like to work on for that session.
After you’ve made your appointment, your tutor will create a session in BlackBoard Collaborate and then email you an invitation to the session. When it’s time to meet, simply go to your Buff State email and click on the invitation link!
Virtual appointments will be available at the following times starting Monday, February 8:
Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
*Please note: The Math Center will be closed on Monday, February 15, in honor of President's Day.
