*Academic Coaches: 50 years of research in educational and applied psychology reveals the most effective way to tutor is to tutor the person, not the subject. Academic coaches teach students critical thinking questioning techniques and learning strategies by applying these techniques to a specific content course. Academic coaches are not necessarily (but can be) experts in the content area. Subjects tutored by academic coaches: study skills, arts, humanities, social sciences, history, presentations.

*Please note: More peer tutors are always in the process of being hired. Please visit this site often for updates. Specifically, we are looking for students who can tutor economics, financial accounting and statistics & research methods for social sciences.

*NEW SUBJECTS ARE ALWAYS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING ADDED. CHECK BACK OFTEN, AND EMAIL copelala@buffalostate.edu TO REQUEST TUTORING IN A SUBJECT NOT LISTED ABOVE.
